Summer Lunch Project 2019

Hi, thought it would be helpful for you all to be updated with our current situation here at Sayes Court Children’s Centre.

The new Family Centre model is due to be rolled out from mid-November. There will be 3 sites situated across Runnymede:

Main site: The Haven Family Centre (Hythe CC)

Satellite services:    Chertsey Family Centre (Chertsey CC)

Addlestone Young People’s & Family Centre
at Addlestone Youth Centre, Church Road.

Sayes Court Children’s Centre and Poplars Children’s Centre (New Haw) will both be closed as from the end of September 2019.

The Youth Centre in Addlestone (Church Road, opposite St Paul’s Church) will be given some modifications to enable it to be compatible for early years. If these have been completed by the end of September, eligible staff from the Centre will move to the Youth Centre and Sayes Court CC will be officially closed. However, we are able to stay at Sayes Court until mid-November if the modifications are not ready! Unfortunately at this stage our personal job roles are not guaranteed!

All universal services will cease from the end of August and our much loved and supported stay & play sessions we run weekly will finish on Friday 23rd August. However, work will continue with midwives, health visitors, citizens’ advice, housing & employment etc. within the new Family Centre structure. All Outreach provision currently offered to families will continue during all these changes.

We have a packed timetable running to the end of this term and are offering special events during the summer holidays with a Sports Day, stay & play session in Strawberry Fields (Rowtown), a coach trip to Brighton and most importantly a Family Farewell Day at the Centre.
(Wednesday 28th August 10am - 1.00pm).

We really hope we will be able to say goodbye during the next couple of months to all our amazing families that we have had the privilege to meet and those we have worked with over the 9 years since myself and the team have been at Sayes Court. Each and every one of you and your children have meant a lot to us and we’ve loved getting to know your families, watch the children grow, and meet new siblings along the way.

MANY THANKS – Jill, Isabel, Emma, Anita & Jasmine xxxxx
